Straight sided cann with a tuck under base and cast “s” scroll handle. Engraved on the front with the coat-of-arms of the TEN BROECK family, the coat-of-arms within scrolling foliage and engraved on the base with the TEN BROECK initials TB/IC. Marked once to the right of the handle “ITE”.

The arms are probably those of Johannes Ten Broeck (1683-1765) and his second wife Catherine Van Rensselaer (1691-1770) whom he married in 1714.
