| Born April 30, 1879 in Richmond, Va.
and died in 1943. His address in 1929 had been 1008 Taylor Street, N.E., Washington, D.C. Edgar Nye was a pupil of The Corcoran School of Art, Washington, D.C. and the John Noble Barlow School in England, and he specialized in landscape paintings.. He was a member of The Society of Washington Artists, The Washington Landscape Club and The Washington Water Color Club. He won Honorable Mention in 1926 and the bronze Medal in 1927 from The Washington Society of Artists. He exhibited at The Society of Washington Artists, The Phillips Memorial Gallery and has a picture hanging in The Plymouth Gallery in England. |
